Many prominent people are paying tribute to Rob Reiner and his wife Michele, after they were killed in their Los Angeles home on Sunday

CHICAGO - Former first lady Michelle Obama said Monday night that she and her husband, former President Barack Obama, had planned to see their friends Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner on the same day the couple was found dead in their Los Angeles home in a reported murder.

"He and his wife lived lives defined by purpose," Obama shared about the acclaimed actor and director and his wife Michele Reiner, who were found dead at their California home

Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Kamala Harris, Elijah Wood, Ben Stiller, Eric Idle and many, many more paid tribute to the actor-director.

Former President Barack Obama, director Paul Feig and actor Kathy Bates were among those who issued their condolences to the Reiner family.
