Thailand's caretaker Prime ‌Minister ​Anutin Charnvirakul said ‌on Friday he was scheduled to speak to ​U.S. President Donald Trump late in the day, as border clashes ‍between Cambodia and Thailand ​continued for a fifth day.

Fighting between Thailand and Cambodia entered its fourth day on Thursday as both sides waited for a promised telephone call from U.S. President Donald Trump, who says he believes he can again end the conflict between the two Southeast Asian nations.

Armed clashes between Thailand and Cambodia entered a second day on Tuesday, both sides said, in defiance of calls from the United States to stop fighting and adhere to a months-old Trump-brokered peace deal that now looks on the brink of complete collapse.

Museum and Cambodian officials said they jointly investigated the provenance of the objects and found sufficient evidence to suggest they had been stolen.

Cambodia has ordered its delegation for the 33rd SEA Games to immediately leave host country Thailand, despite having attended the opening ceremony on Tuesday night.
