EAST LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - No. 7 Michigan State men’s basketball fell to No. 4 Duke 66-60 on Saturday at the Breslin Center in East Lansing. Both teams entered the game unbeaten, with Duke at 9-0 and MSU at 8-0.
The Blue Devils have led the whole contest and are leading 16-11 at the 11:32 mark of the first half. Duke is off to a 46% start from the field and Michigan State 36%. Nik Khamenia is leading Duke with six points going 2-for-3 from 3 and Coen Carr leading Michigan State with 5.
Following the game, Duke head coach Jon Scheyer spoke to the media, check out what he said: "We had to weather a lot of bad plays, and credit to Michigan State's defense, that is a good defense. I'm just really proud. This is a difficult place to play. We don't want this to be the peak of our season."
