NEW YORK (AP) — Cutter Gauthier scored the go-ahead goal six minutes into the third period and got his second on an empty-netter, Lukas Dostal stopped 26 of the 27 shots he faced, and the Anaheim Ducks beat the New York Rangers 4-1 on Monday night to end a two-game losing streak.

Noah Ostlund, Tage Thompson and Zach Benson all scored and the Buffalo Sabres beat the Seattle Kraken 3-1 on Sunday for their third straight win.

His team responded by cutting the deficit to 3-2 by the end of the period thanks to a Laba power-play goal and an Artemi Panarin penalty shot, which he buried.

The New York Rangers and head coach Mike Sullivan scratched center Mika Zibanejad from tonight’s game against the Anaheim Ducks after he missed a team meeting this morning.

The Chris Kreider and Mika Zibanejad reunion on the Madison Square Garden ice will have to wait.
