The Panthers' zone defense was shredded by Chris Olave and Tyler Shough when it mattered. There were open receivers all day, but in literally no time at all, the Saints had gone down and tied it with Olave getting four catches for 63 yards and a touchdown on the drive.

Shough and the Saints drove 62 yards in 51 seconds before giving way to Smyth for a 47-yard field goal, which split the uprights with two seconds left.

That was especially the case on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers. New Orleans welcomed the Panthers to town with a chance to play spoiler and did just that. The Saints came out on top, 20-17. Shough shined with 272 passing yards and a touchdown and Charlie Smyth drilled the game-winner to improve New Orleans' record to 4-10 on the season.

This is a tough way to fall behind in the playoff race.
