PHOENIX (AZFamily/AP) — The Phoenix Suns have an additional game on their schedule after they were eliminated from the Emirates NBA Cup on Wednesday by the Oklahoma City Thunder. Phoenix will now play the Los Angeles Lakers in a regular-season game at Mortgage Matchup Center at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14.

Oklahoma City outscored the Suns by 10 or more points in every quarter and at one point extended its lead to 53. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Chet Holmgren combined for 52 as the Thunder ultimately won by 49, 138-89. With the victory, Oklahoma City extended its streak to 16 games, but also tied a historic record.
