The launch of a new batch of SpaceX Starlink satellites lit up the predawn sky in southern California today (Dec. 10) as the company marked its 160th flight of a Falcon 9 rocket this year. Lifting off at 6:40 a.

Starlink’s rapid revenue and subscriber growth is driving SpaceX toward a possible $800B valuation. Investors can access exposure through select ETFs, mutual funds and private platforms.

Amid media reports of skyrocketing valuation and a potential IPO for SpaceX, the company could have a lot to lose next year.

The company expects to generate about $15 billion in revenue this year, with most of it coming from its Starlink satellite internet service.

Many tech billionaires, including Musk, fall squarely into the “proponents” category. With a blockbuster IPO on the horizon and Musk’s forecast that SpaceX’s newest rocket will start launching Starlink V3 satellites in 2026 as well, the company does appear uniquely well-positioned to lay the groundwork for orbital server farms.

Elon Musk says he is “looking forward to serving India” through Starlink as the government accelerates plans to expand satellite-powered internet to remote regions.

SpaceX has submitted a trademark application for Starlink Mobile. As reported by Bloomberg, Elon Musk's SpaceX submitted the filing with the US Patent and Trademark Office on October 16. The filing suggests that Starlink could push to establish a mobile carrier via its satellite network.

NetJets will begin installing Starlink high-speed internet across its fleet as early as this month, marking one of the largest single adoptions of low-Earth-orbit data connectivity in business aviation.

The numbers suggest Amazon Leo is looking to quickly scale up to compete with SpaceX's Starlink to serve customers across the globe.
