Stephon Castle shined the brightest for San Antonio, posting a season-high 30 points to go along with 10 rebounds and six assists. De'Aaron Fox added 20 as the duo combined for 50 points. Keldon Johnson provided 17 points off the bench while Luke Kornet anchored the front of the rim with 10 points, eight rebounds and one block.
As the Spurs prepare for the Thunder after eliminating the Lakers in the NBA Cup, De'Aaron Fox has his sights set on bigger goals.
The two young guards are certainly part of the Spurs' long-term plans, which makes sense, as any trade talks between San Antonio and another team would be expected to be considered off limits. According to ESPN's Tim MacMahon, neither Harper nor Castle is on the trade talk table.
The reigning NBA MVP and Finals MVP has another trophy in reach as OKC, Orlando, New York and San Antonio head to Las Vegas.
