Gunther is proud he’ll be John Cena’s last opponent. Speaking to People, The Ring General said that he feels his upcoming match against Cena at Saturday Night’s Main Event represents a passing of the torch moment, noting he is part of a new wave of WWE stars.
Cena will be in the building on Friday night for his final appearance on SmackDown as an active wrestler. WWE has advertised a celebration honoring his nearly quarter-century run with the company, which saw him become its only recognized 17-time world champion.

Appearing on The Rich Eisen Show, Gunther detailed losing approximately 60 pounds around the time he was called up to the WWE main roster. Gunther said he’s since gained a little bit of that back and now feels like he’s found where he’s supposed to be with his weight.
