DC weather: Blustery cold, chance of snow flurries Monday
A blustery, cold day is ahead Monday with temperatures feeling well below freezing and a chance of snow flurries across parts of the Washington, D.C., region.
As a wintry mix of cold, icy rain and snow is expected to hit the DC region on Tuesday, several schools announced classes will be either delayed or canceled.
A Weather Impact Alert has been issued for snow accumulation up to three inches across parts of the DC region Friday.
2 a.m.-4 a.m.: Snow starts falling in our southern zones. We expect the highest accumulations to be across Central Virginia, stretching east through the Northern Neck. 1-3 inches (isolated 4 inch amounts) are possible in these regions.
