Lawyers for the 22-year-old Utah man charged with killing Charlie Kirk are expected in court as they push to further limit media access in the high-profile criminal case.

Charlie Kirk and his wife, Erika Kirk, shared two children. The right-wing organizer, who was fatally shot on Sept. 10, and the former Miss Arizona USA married in May 2021. The couple had a daughter in August 2022 and a son in May 2024.

The town hall was moderated by CBS News editor-in-chief Bari Weiss and featured questions from an invited audience. Also in attendance: Robert Milgrim, the father of 26-year-old Israeli embassy staffer Sarah Milgrim, who was killed in May outside the Capitol Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C.

After calling Kirk “hateful” just after his death, Seyfried quickly addressed the backlash her comment created in a more nuanced Instagram post.
