Jeff Kent, who holds the record for home runs by a second baseman, was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame on Sunday.

Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens were once again overlooked for the National Baseball Hall of Fame on Sunday while former slugging infielder Jeff Kent was elected to Cooperstown for the Class of 2026.

Neither Clemens nor Bonds received more than four votes from the 16-person era committee, a lack of support that will have repercussions under a rule introduced this year.
