'Police have not identified any connection to the current police investigation of the Bondi terror attack,' authorities said

Authorities say the arrests came after they received intelligence suggesting a possible threat, but they have stressed there is no confirmed link to the ongoing investigation into the Bondi incident

The police received information that a “violent act” was possibly being planned by the group who were on their way to Bondi Beach.

The men were en route to Bondi Beach, but police noted that they had not yet connected the arrests to Sunday's terrorist attack.
