Isaiah Stewart scored 17 points to lead a balanced scoring attack as the Detroit Pistons beat the Atlanta Hawks 142-115.

Joel Embiid scored a season-high 39 points, Paul George had 23 and the 76ers beat the Indiana Pacers 115-105 on Friday night.

Momentum shifted back toward the Sixers after Embiid checked back in. Embiid, who was coming off of a 4-for-21 shooting game in Sunday’s loss to the Lakers, amped up his aggression in the second quarter and found a scoring rhythm against Pacers big man Jay Huff. He worked for post position, sank mid-range jumpers and drew regular free throws.

Stephon Castle scored 21 of his 30 points in the second half, and De'Aaron Fox added 20 points in the San Antonio Spurs' 132-119 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on in an NBA Cup quarterfinal.

Rudy Gobert had 24 points and 14 rebounds, Donte DiVincenzo made a clutch 3-pointer with 28 seconds remaining and the Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Golden State Warriors 127-120.

Josh Giddey had 26 points, 11 assists and seven rebounds, Zach Collins added 16 points and eight rebounds off the bench and the Chicago Bulls erased a 13-point second half deficit to beat the Charlotte Hornets 129-126 and snap a seven-game losing streak.

The 2025-26 NBA season is already over a quarter of the way over and the Oklahoma City Thunder are once again overwhelming favorites to win the league title after their history-making start to the year.
