On Wednesday at 2:41 p.m. the National Weather Service released a winter weather advisory in effect until Thursday at 1 a.m.
As of 8:00 a.m., Evergy’s outage map reported approximately 7,400 outages, most of them scattered in small clumps across the metro. This grew from 6,200 at 7:50 a.m. and 4,300 at 7:40 a.m.
