Alabama football has added another player to its 2026 recruiting class. Nick Sherman, a Tuscaloosa native, has committed to the Crimson Tide, he announced Sunday. "Coming HOME, COMMITTED," Sherman wrote on social media.

What several OU football players did last month on Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium didn't go unnoticed, or forgotten, by Alabama football players.

Sherman, a 6-foot-3, 190-pound Tuscaloosa native, joins five-star cornerback Jorden Edmonds and four star Zyan Gibson in Alabama 's 2026 recruiting class. At Itawamba Community College in 2025, Sherman had 24 tackles, one sack and two interceptions.

Alabama football earned its first All-America honor of the 2025 season on Friday. Crimson Tide left tackle Kadyn Proctor was named first-team All-America by the Walter Camp Football Foundation. The honor came in the same week where Proctor was named first-team All-SEC by both the Associated Press media voters and the conference’s coaches.
