Protesters clashed with immigration authorities in south Minneapolis on Monday afternoon, but a day later both sides offered conflicting accounts of how the chaos unfolded.

"All I did was step outside, as a Somali American," Mubashir said during a press conference the day after his arrest.

Businesses are also providing support for employees who are worried about harassment or wrongful detention after ICE raids.

Postal workers rallied Tuesday outside the Lake Street post office in south Minneapolis, calling on Immigration and Customs Enforcement to stop using postal property as a staging ground for enforcement operations.

Auxiliary Bishop Kevin Kenney of St. Paul and Minneapolis and Fr. Christopher Collins from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul led the prayer service, which was held as federal officials conducted an immigration enforcement effort in the Twin Cities.
