For the first time in the playoff era, Miami has a chance to win it all. Headlined by fourth-year head coach Mario Cristobal, transfer quarterback Carson Beck, and phenom freshman wide receiver Malachi Toney, the Hurricanes are looking to make some noise.
According to a report by Ross Dellenger from Yahoo Sports, Notre Dame is guaranteed a spot in the CFP starting next season if it is ranked in the top 12, based on a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed last spring. If a similar situation occurs next season, the final at-large team, currently Miami, would be replaced by No. 11 Notre Dame.
