Two storms moving through the Midwest and Northeast are being supercharged by a system on the West Coast. Blizzard warnings are in effect in West Virginia.
CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The National Weather Service has posted both a winter weather advisory and winter storm watch for West Virginia counties for Friday into the weekend. The advisory began late Friday night and covers mainly southern counties through 1 p.m. Friday.
A winter weather advisory was issued for southern West Virginia and southwest Virginia on Thursday, December 4, with forecasted snowfall amounts of two to four inches expected over night, the National Weather Service said.
Winter weather continues in the Two Virginias and local officials are sharing tips on driving and staying warm in these conditions.
After a weekend of snow in the Midwest, the winter weather is focused farther south on Monday, with snow hitting Virginia, West Virginia and North Carolina.
