It’s never too early in the high school basketball season for some late-game heroics. Thursday night proved to be a highlight-reel moment for the Mason County Central girls basketball team, as they used a game-winning 3-pointer from Jaycee Myer with three seconds left in regulation to seal a wild 34-33 win over North Muskegon in West Michigan Conference Rivers Division action.

The ribbon-cutting was in August, but Thursday night, Rogers hosted its first basketball games with a boys and girls doubleheader to open the season.
