The Atlanta Braves have agreed to terms with free-agent closer Robert Suarez on a three-year, $45 million contract, the club announced on Thursday. Earlier in the offseason, CBS Sports ranked Suarez as the No. 21 available free agent in the current class. Here's part of RJ Anderson's write-up:

The Atlanta Braves made one of their biggest moves of the offseason by bolstering the team’s bullpen. Former San Diego Padres pitcher Robert Suarez is one of the best closers in baseball and the 2-time All-Star is headed to Atlanta, per ESPN’s Jeff Passan.
The Marlins are engaged in trade talks with the Baltimore Orioles and other clubs about starting pitcher Edward Cabrera, according to The Athletic. Cabrera was solid in 2025 with a 3.53 ERA in 137 2/3 innings but also hit the injured list twice, once with an elbow sprain.
