The Michigan Wolverines have been better than expected to start the season, with wins over ranked Auburn and Gonzaga, and a blowout victory over Villanova on Tuesday.  Meanwhile, UConn rises to No. 2 in the championship futures and remains odds-on Big East favorites after its win over national champion Florida at the Jimmy V Classic.

Five weeks into the college basketball season, with most of the nonconference slate already behind us, 357 of 365 Division-I teams have lost at least one game. That includes everybody from No. 5 UConn — the highest-ranked one-loss team in the country — to South Carolina State, Maine and Gardner Webb, the three remaining winless teams.
