Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner's bodies were found by their daughter Romy in their Los Angeles home on Dec. 14, according to multiple sources. The couple’s son Nick has been arrested in connection with the apparent double homicide.
Paramedics later told Romy Reiner that her mother was also dead, a person close to the family said in a new report.
The “Stand By Me” filmmaker and his wife of 36 years, Michele Singer Reiner, shared three children: Jake, 34, Nick, 32, and Romy, 28. Rob also had another daughter, Tracy, 61, whom he adopted during his first marriage to Penny Marshall.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, both Rob and Michele were found dead in the home at about 3:40 p.m. Sunday. Police subsequently said the couple's son Nick Reiner was identified as the suspect. At 9:15 p.m., more than five hours after the bodies were found, Nick was arrested.
Nick Reiner got into a fight with his parents, Rob and Michele Singer Reiner, at a holiday party Saturday night. The couple’s youngest child, Romy, found them deceased inside their Brentwood home Sunday afternoon. Officers tracked Nick down 15 miles away in South L.A. on Sunday evening; he was booked on suspicion of murder early Monday morning.
