Samoa Joe paid tribute to John Cena at AEW Dynamite Winter is Coming, giving a salute as he had Eddie Kingston locked in an STF (U). Joe and Cena trained together very early in their career at UPW in California. Their paths would cross again in 2017 in WWE where they wrestled against each other on a handful of occasions.
